YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland. —Showery weather during tho morning was followed by a. fine and sunny afternoon. The wind was from the north-west. The barometer fell abruptly about mid-day, - but afterward it was steady, tho reading last evening being 29.45 in. / Wellington.—The sky was dull again m Wellington all day yesterday. Just before seven o'clock in the evening a particularly heavy shower fell, but it quickly cleared. Tho wind blew steadily from the north-west. Ghristchurch. —The weather was fine, with more clouds than sunshine,, and the atmosphere was warmer, the maximum temperature being 60 degrees. The wind was light from the north-east. The barometer continues to fall, the reading tins evening being 29.15 in. Dunedin.—The weather was fine and warm in Dunedin yesterday, the maximum temperature being 66 degrees. Iho wind was light from tho north-east. .The barometer, which was very erratic on Wednesday, fell again, but in th« evening was steady at 29.1<5iu.
