WORK IN THE COUNTRY.

Sir.—Mr. Wilson, who wrote on • this subject, appears ..to have been unfairly treated, but has he stopped to consider that every question bus two .sides? Taku my case. I am a registered plumber by trade, single, age 26. I have been out of work since last March, and being tillable to obtain employment of any description in this city, I answered farm advertisements. Of course. I am inexperienced in farm work, but quite willing to work for a reduced wage until I mastered the intricacies of farm work. Ye!; not one reply did I receive. Is this good enough ? There are hundreds of young city men like myself who would be only too pleased to get away from the sight of Queen' Street and earn a few shillings spanking cows.- D. F. Alcock
