MONEY FOR BUTTER-FAT.
NORTHERN WAIROA COMPANY INCREASE ON LAST YEAR. [BY TELEGBArH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DAKGAVILLE, Thursday. The Northern AVairoa Dairy Company last month received from suppliers 14,629,2641b. *of butter-fat, compared with 10,639,3401b. during August, last year, an increase of nearly 3,000,0001b. In spite of the fact that payment per lb. was very considerably less, the aggregate of payments made to suppliers for last month's supplies was £4ll 8s 3d in excess of the total payment made for August, 1929. For last month's supply the company pajd £7952 7s sd, at. the rate of Is Id per lb., and for the August supply last season £7540 19s 2d at Is 5d per lb. During the expired months of the current season to the end of August a total of 25.339,6011b. of butter-fat was received, for which £14,617 3s was paid to suppliers. Over the corresponding period of last season 21,454,3401b. of butter-fat were received and £14,933 9s 5d paid.
