MORNING TEA.
A morning tea to farewell Mrs. E. Ellis, secretary of tho Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, and assistant secretary at tho depot, was hold in the balcony room at Messrs. Milno and Choyce yesterday, by tho members of tho council. Bowls and vases of daffodils made a charming colour effect aguinst the green tablecloths and hanging baskets and 3tands of fern addod to the attractiveness of the room. On behalf of tho Hospital Auxiliary Mrs. Alfred ICidd l ' presented Mrs. Ellis with u cheque and spoko most appreciatively of the work that sho had dono for the organisation. Mrs. Potter spoko for tho Mount Eden branch of tho auxiliary, Mrs. Carr .Smith for the sewing committee, and Mrs. Chapman for tho Onohungu branch of tho Hospital Auxiliary. Among those present were Mrs, A. Kidd, Mrs. A. D. Campbell, Mrs. C. E. .Maguire, Sirs. Potter, Mrs. E. J. Pi'ondergast, Mrs. Hammond Ilydo, Mrs. Bulgurnio, l)r. Buckley Turkington, Mir. Drysdalo, Mrs. Carr Smith, Mrs. Hugh Maguire, Miss A. Basten, Mrs. Tiarks, Miss Calder, Mrs, Bolitho, Mrs. C. Smith, Mrs. Pankhurst, Mrs. Bohague, Mrs Sheldon, Mrs. Hoot on, Mrs, Chapman. Mrs. Ellis leaves for OTirfctchurch this week.
