KILLED BY MOTOR-CAR.
DRIVER FAILS TO STOP. ACCIDENT AT WELLINGTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] WELLINGTON. Thursday. , "It is not necessary for the Court to express an opinion as to the conduct of the driver," said the coroner, Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., to-day at an inquest concerning the death of John McInnes, wharf labourer, who died on September 7 as the result of injuries received through being struck by a motorcar in Jervois Quay on August 16. Subinspector Lopdeli said the driver of the car had not been found. After evidence had been heard the coroner returned a verdict that deceased died from head injuries, including lacerations of the brain, received through being knocked down by a motor-car in Jervois Quay, the driver of the car being unknown.
