A letter was received from the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, Hamilton, with reference to the manufacture of dried milk at a meeting to-day of the commit too of (he New Zealand Wheat Research Institute. The letter said the company had adopted a new method advocated by the institute's chemist, Mr. 11. K. West, with the result that a product had been obtained superior to anything that had been made before. Tho chairman said that as a result of Mr. West's U'sts the quality of dried milk for balling purposes had been greatly improved anil it, was equal to ordinary or condensed milk. It was one of Mr. West's most important pieces of work nrid provided an outlet for another dairy product.
