A curious action on the part of an honorary ranger of ■ tho Wellington Acclimatisation Society was reported to tho executive at a recent meeting. A member said ho had had word that a party was about to make a " spot-light " raid on hares on 0110 of the main roads.

Tho member telephoned to tho society's permanent ranger, but an honorary ranger had let the party know that tho ranger had been informed of tho proposed raid. Other members thought it time the warrants of the honorary rangers were revised.

The secretary said there were about 150 on the list, but that only about five wero good men. He agreed to take steps to revise the list.
