NEW BRITISH CAR.

DESIGN OF SIR D. BURNEY.

FAST STREAM-LINE MODEL.

LONDON. Sept. 11

.Sir Dennistoun Burney, the designer of the RIOO, has designed a stream-line motor-car hy applying the lessons learned in airship construction, especially those relating to wind resistance. It is claimed that it saves 50 per cent, of the petrol consumption. While moving at high speeds the car scarcely touches the ground, thus saving wear on the tyres. The engine is a straight eight, water-cooled, of 22 horso power and placed at the hack, which eliminates all noise, heat and fumes.

Lengthy reviews of the trial tests indicate that road shocks aro eliminated, because each wheel is independently sprung. Ilump-baeked bridges were taken at a speed of 70 miles an hour without inconveniencing tho passengers. The car will be sold for £ISOO.
