NOTES FROM THE TRACK
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DUNEDIN, Friday. There was no really fast work at Wingatui this morning.
French Singer jumped the sod wall in good style. He then went cn to complete a full circuit. He was not allowed to put much paco on, and jumped carefully without mistake. He would probably give an attractive display with more paco on. Willow Glen strode over a couple of circuits and then came along the final three furlongs in 44 2-ss. Palada, who moves a bit short, cantered and then sprinted three furlongs in 11 2-ss. Rotorex led Genteel home at the end of half a mile in 65 3-ss. Lucy Locket and Barrington did useful work in company, including seven furlongs in 1.44 3-5 without heing extended at any stage of the task
Water Power appeared to be waiting with Royal Flower when galloping over half a mile in 56 2-ss. Wise Choice appeared to be going better than Captivate when concluding half a mile in 54 l-5a Royal BlufT t/iok 57 l-5s to cover the same distance along the hack. Diamond Jack, Scion and a number of others engaged at the meeting were also worked, but were kept to lenient tasks.
