POLICE COURT NEWS.
" I ask for a remand until Monday," said Mr. Bryce Hart in the Police Court yesterday when Angelo Phinix, aged 36, telegraph clerk, appeared on . a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car in Symonds Street on Ihursday. Tho magistrate, Mr. F.' K. Hunt, granted counsel's request, bail being fixed at £SO. For failing to furnish a return of land J. O'Sullivau was fined £2, with 12s costs. A. Harriett and 11. Sigley wero charged with smoking in a city cinema theatre and wero fined 10s each, plus costs, 13s. Described as a musician, Robert Stewart Jackson, aged 48, was charged with indecently assaulting a girl, aged 11 years 11 months, at Avondale. On the application of tho police tho mngistrato remanded the accused until Thursday.
