CONTROL OF DELINQUENTS.
REFORM LEAGUE PROPOSAL. A resolution was passed at a meeting of the Auckland division of the women's committee of tlio Political Reform League, stating that the committee was of opinion that any person between the ages of 17 and 21 years, who is a delinquent, should, on the complaint of a parent or guardian, be summoned by a justice of the peace fo appear before a magistrate. The magistrate should have power, without recording a conviction, to place the young person under the control of a probation officer on such conditions as lie may think fit.
