UNITED CROQUET CLUB.
A very successful and enjoyable card afternoon was held in tho J.C.L. tea roomH on Wednesday by tho Unitod Croquet Club, when about 100 guests wero entei tainod at bridge and 500 The president, Mrs. Powley, welcomed the ladies. Tho prizes for bridge were won by Mrs. Thornton and Mrs. Mcßrido, and tho 500 prize by Mrs. Watson.
