Tho chairman, Mr. C. A. Sneddon, presided. A committee consisting' of Messrs. Snedden, O. W. Carlaw, E. Stiijlworthy, A s McClymont and A. Ferguson wtis appointed to meet the committee of the Auckland League next Thursday. < An appeal wag received from the City Club against tho decision of the Auckland Itui,'by League in rejecting tho club'H protest against the Devonport Club for playing L. Simons, a registered member of the Wellington League Tho appeal was dismissed. The chairman pointed out that Simons was st:ll a registered member of the Dovonport Club ns thero was no League body in Wellington affiliated to the coun cil. Mr. A. f ergiison, tho financial manager of the iSew Zealand touring team, presented to tho council a handsome silver football, tho gift of Mr. R. O. Courtney, a former resident of Christchurch. It was decided to allot tho trophy for competition in the annual. North and South Island match.
