The chairman pointed out that Simons was st:ll a registered member of the Dovonport Club ns thero was no League body in Wellington affiliated to the coun cil. Mr. A. f ergiison, tho financial manager of the iSew Zealand touring team, presented to tho council a handsome silver football, tho gift of Mr. R. O. Courtney, a former resident of Christchurch. It was decided to allot tho trophy for competition in the annual. North and South Island match.
