The Dunedin attorney for tho Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation states that share selling is proceed ing in the Dominion, and that a sales campaign in Australia will be begun this month. Negotiations have begun in tho four New Zealand centres for the purchase of property and a site has been secured in Wellington. yOCALION GRAMAPHONE CO. L.ARGE PROFITS EARNED. According to cable advico received from London tho net profit of the Vocation Gramaphone Company, Ltd., for the year ended March 31 amounted to £44.576. The capital of the company is £250.000. The directors in their report state fhat in view of the present state of the record industry and the company's programme in developing lilm records they do not feel justified in recommending the declaration of a dividend. For the two preceding years 40 per cent, was paid. After providing for income tax there will be £66.963 to ho carried forward. During the last half-year and to date the company lias -successfully regained its entire market as compared with 1928-29, the company's most successful year. STOCK SALES. VALUES AT PUKEKOHE. Dairy cattle were in keen demand and prices were firmer, at the stock sale at Pukftkohe to-day, conducted by tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Best dairy cows and heifers realised from £l4 to £l6 10s; other good eorts, £ll 10s to £l3 10s. and backward. £9 to £ll ss. Yearling Jersey heifers made from £6 to £7 ss, and other Rood yearling heifers, £4 10s to £5 ss. There was an average yarding of beef. Good fat cows made £8 10s to £lO 10s; lighter cows, £7 to £8 as; best store cows, £5 10s to £6 sa; other good store cows, £4 10s to £5 ss; boner cows, £2 10s to £3 10s. Pigs wore penned in improved numbers and prices generally showed an increase. Ba'coners realised £3 to £3 lis; porkers, £2 5s to £2 lGa; large stores, £2 to £2 4s; good slips, £1 10s to £1 18s; weaners,. 17s to £1 Ss. PRICES AT KAUROA. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports:—At the Kauroa stock sule a cood yarding of cattle was penned. Beef and store cattle sold at late rates. A heavy yarding of dairy cows and heifers met with keen competition and all sold mi oily at slightly improved prices. At the Farmers' Auctioneering Company's stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday tliero was a heavy yarding of beef and store cattle, late rates being maintained on beef and good competitiiii on store cattle A line of 40 4-year-old bullocks met with keen competition and changed hands at satisfactory prices. There was an average yarding of dairy cattle, choice quality enws and heifers meeting with brisk bidding. A full yarding of pigs came forward and competition was keen, all classes selling well at late rates.
