FLYING GROUND SOUGHT.
WELLINGTON AERO CLUB. HUTT RIVER MOUTH ISLAND. [BY XELEGItAPJI. —I'fiESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. The possibility that tho Wellington Aero Club may secure Scabey Island as a flying ground arises as the result of a request made to the Ilutt River Board. Scabey Island is situated at the ffutt River mouth on the sea side of New Seaview Road. Should the ground be leased to the club, the club will proceed with extensive work in levelling and forming the ground, building retaining walls, hangars, etc., the whole amount of the expenditure being estimated at a large sum. The River Board decided to inform the club that the board was in a position to lease and requested further details of the proposals.
