CONCENTRATE AND GESTURE. LEAVE TO-DAY* •Another important team of New Zealand racclforsea will leave for Australia ~tci-day, when , the Trentham trainer H. B, Lorigan will" sail from Wellington on the Maunganui with Concentrate, Royal Duko,.Cimabue, Kin's Jlusket and Gesture. .' They are a very'" valuable team and the Australian Government will collect a fair sum' in' primage duty, ■ 2J per cent, of the value of the horses, to be- roturiied if the horses do not stay more than six .months. Concentrate, winner of the Auckland and Wellington' Cups last season, won £3875 in stakes; 'Gesture, who was the leading two-year-old of'- ( tho season, £2855; Cimabue, £2360; and Royal Duke, £685, making a total of £9775 for the team., King Musket, who is a three-year-old by Shambles—Hornbeam, had oijjy three races last season and was unplaced each time. AAfon'e othsr engagements Concentrate is in the Melbourne Cup with 8.10, and has 9.3 in the Metxopolitan Handicap. Gesture is in the Epsom Handicap with 8.0. King Musket is engaged in the A.J.C. Derby. TURF IN AUSTRALIA. NEW ZEALAND HORSES. GOOD GALLOPS AT RANDWICK. (Received August 14, 10.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 14. The best gallop at Randwick this season was credited to-day to the New Zealand horses In The Shade and Gay Crest. They ran nine furlongs with the flags out 40ft. and covered the distance in 1.59 J. Both finished full of running. The best six furlongs run was recorded by tho New Zealand horses Eaglet and Vali, in Paquito and Craigavon are working well. GOSSIP FROM HAWERA. FORM ON THE TRACKS. The thjee-year-'olds Bifiex and Whirl galloped! ■three furlongs, finishing together in fair time. Mount Shannon did a coiiple of rounds at half pace on tho sand in hiu usual free style. Tho hunters, Maidos and Pikimai, were allotted pace work of an easy manner, working on the inside oval. The Warden did useful pace work on tho sand. Ho is in splendid fettle, and worked very freely. His next appearance will be at tho Taranaki Hunt Meeting. Son o' Mice, who has been nominated -freely .in' tho hunters' events aVthe Taranaki "Meeting, did'easy pace work on tho inside oval.- _ Gowan Lea and Banbridge did a working, gallop on the trial grass over six furlongs, both finishing together. Kilting ,went a couple of times At half pace on the sand.- The Tonbridge filly i 3 in nice order for spring .engagements.-. Th Hunting • Song—Whakatane and Arausia•Freyer fillies were worked on the two-year old track at half pace for- a couple o rounds. Son o' Mine was schooled over th< hurdles and then taken to the steeplechase course to jump four fences; which he did in a convincing, manner.- .• • . V Goblin Market wasy given his first schooling lesson over the hurdles, jumping four and giving a splendid exhibition for a 'novice. Coal-. Bag was allotted- three-QUfir-ter pace work, in whioh ho seemed anxioaß to improve. Royal Acre was allotted easy tasks, working on tho oval. The two-year-olds by Grandcourt and Tea Tray, in O. Cos a stable, were sprinted three furlongs, moving attractively. These two are the most forward of the local youngsters. Copey and Orazone were allotted easy pace work on the oval. The Tonbridge—Nursing Sister gelding and the Nigger Minstrel—Left colt were worked on the two-year-old tracks at half pace. Kissless did useful work on the inside oval. Paitonu is still out spelling, not having got over the injuries received at the Avondale meeting, and it is doubtful if ho will race again this season. The Antagonist— Flying Wind gelding in M. Conway's stable has been sent home for a spell owing to soreness. Zadarino is still out in the paddock spelling, and is due to go into work again shortly. The Bisogne—Campbell filly,;.. attached to J. Fryer's stable, was allotted useful pace work. This filly is a splendid type of tho thoroughbred, and is very like Paitonu in conformation a:ad build. - WORK AT NEW PLYMOUTH. GALLOPS ON THE TRACK, [KY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday,, The New Plymouth traok wa9 in excellent order for the work this morning, when all the galloping took place on the outside of the traok proper. Miss Chatter, Sparkling Morn, Hunting Song and Diamond Ring took 41s for thireer" furlongs. Lady Quex was not extended to run three furlongs in 445. She is in nice order. Cronnatdwn and Singer took 57s for hulf-a-niile. Tangaroa and Green Patch worked strongly over one circuit. The former isi a half brother, by Potoa, to Paitonu. Huirangi Girl cleared four fences in easy fashion. . , Melissa was well clear of Cornerman at the conclusion .of three furlongß in 40 2-ss, tho best of the morning. Annoyer, assisted by . Lady Zulu over tho last four furlongs, galloped six furlongs in : 1.24. Royal Finance went well over h.alf-a-niile in" '555.-. v, ! -; * Omeo's brother, Moorangi, jumped four fences, including the double brush, in good stylo. *
