In a fast game which at times provided exciting football, the Otago Rugby team heat llnwko'n Bay to-day by 17 points to 11. The/ visitors had tho better of the first spell, in which play at the start was rugged. Hawke's Bay secured most of the ball and the backs were frequently sent away in passing rushes which genei.illy lacked penetration, tho Otujxo tackling being In the second spell Otago secured u bigger share of tho ball and the last, half hour was crowded with spectacular incidents. Lindsay played a fino camo at fullhacK for Otago and Bradanovitch was clover on attack. The forwards wero an even lot. None of the visiting backs was outstanding. Wilson, C.
