NO BARE ARMS.
JEWISH WEDDING. "Ladies aro kindly requested not to wear sleeveless dresses." This request is printed on the invitations to tho wedding of Rabbi Simcho Rubin, of Fordham Street, Commercial Itoad, E., and Miss Eva Heschel, which takes placo shortly, states a London writer. Sleeveless frocks aro much worn during tho summer by members of tho largo Jewish community in tho East End, but this request will not cause much surprise among the orthodox Jews, for it is contrary to their traditions for a woman to display her arms. "The request that women should not wear sleoveless frocks has been made purely on religious grounds,"\ the bride told a newspaper reporter. "Wo believe that women should not display their arms in public, and, therefore, it is only right that at a Rabbi's wedding they should ho forbidden to do so."
