UNPAID NATIVE RATES.
POSITION IN THE NORTH. [BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAEEI, Tuesday. Tho president of tho North Auckland Counties Association, Mr. L. Webb, has written to Sir Apiruna -Ngata, president of tho Nativo Land Consolidation Commission, pointing out that his executive desired to ascertain when tho northern counties may expect to receive further consideration regarding tho payment of those native rates that have become duo and remain unpaid since the financial adjustments made in 1928. It was suggested that a conforonco of representatives of interested local bodies situated within the area of tho association might bo arranged when the position could be discussed and perhaps a uniform percentage of outstanding rates agrood upon.
