LAMBETH CONFERENCE.

FINAL SESSION HELD. CONCLUSIONS TO BE PUBLISHED. LONDON, August 10. The Lambeth Conference has closed. An encyclical letter will bo issued embodying its conclusions. At the final session the Archbishop of York, Dr William Temple, voiced the gratitude of the delegates to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Cosmo Gordon Lang, for presiding for fivo weeks.

It was intimated that tho 300 bishops present desired to present a. pastoral staff for the use of Tjr. Lang in the Diocese of Canterbury. The Morning Post's special representative savs- Although efforts were made by a minority of (he bishops to secure a pronouncement on tho subject of birth control it is not likely that more than a passing reference to it will appear in the encyclical letter. This will bo to the cilect that the extent of tho practice among church people practically does not call for notice
