DANCE AND BRIDGE.
EVENING AT MATAHURU. A most successful dance and bridge evening was given by the- Gaiety Girls' committee in the Waiterimu Matahnru Hall recently in aid of supper tabic necessities. The hall was artistically decorated with orange and black streamers and nikau palms Enlivening dance music was played by Mr. Allan's orchestra. Supper was served in the gallery on tables decorated with bowls of white and pink heather and maidenhair fern. Mr. Lawry was in charge of the floor arrangements. Popular extras were played by Sifss M. M. Hill, Mr. Irving and Mr. Ward. Novelty dances were won by Miss jßforey and Mr. Ronald Ward, Mr. Irving and Miss Fitness, and.Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Grundy. The bridge tournament was won by Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Hawken. The members of Oia committee were Mrs. Charles Zarik, Miss H. Fitness. Miss M. M. Hill and Miss L. Fitness.
