EXPECTED HAPPY EVENT. BEACONS TO SPREAD NEWS. (Received August 10, G.3S p.m.) LONDON, August 9. A beacon 35ft. in height will bo lit around tho baso of a giant pine tree near Glamis Castle when an interesting event takes placo in the household of tho Duko and Duchess of York.

Th© lighting of this beacon will be a signal for the kindling of a chain of other beacons from Airlio to Forfar, which will bo visible for hundreds of miles.
