DOMINION PRODUCTION. OVER 425,000 BALES SOLD. Details of the quantity and value of tho wool sold in New Zealand'during tho year ended June 30, 1930, together with the amount held oyer, have been prepared by Dalgety and Company, Limited. The quantity of wool sold for the period was 425,902 bales, which realised £5,130,897. Wool unsold was reported as 126,204 bales, valued at £1,521,785. The destinations of tho wool disposed of have been ascertained as follows: United Kingdom, 224,277 bales: Franco, 59.500; Belgium, Holland and Denmark, 8500; Germany and Austria, 52,500; Italy and Switzerland, 6000; Russia, Norway and Sweden, 4125; United States, 11,000; Canada, 550G; India, 2000; Australia, 4000; local manufacturers, 13,000; local scdurers, 43.000: total, 425,902. Included in the United Kingdom total was 36,000 bales bought by speculators for resale in London. Fleece wool amounted to 415.040 bales, or 97.45 per cent-, of tho total disposed of. and lambs' wool to 10,862 bales, or 2.55 per cent, of the sales The quantity of greasy wool sold was 425,705 bales, or 99.95 per cent, of (ho total, with 197 bales of scoured, or .05 per cent, of tho aggregate of 425.902 bales.
