MR. HENKEL'S DEPARTURE. After six months as musical director at the. Civic Theatre, Mr. Ted Henkel has resigned and will leave for Sydney by th» Maunganui to-morrow to take up a similar position at the Capitol Theatre, at which he was musical director for nearly two years before his engagement by Mr. T. A. O'Brien. Mr. Henkel has an exceptionally large following in Sydney, but it was oni\ after repeated requests from the Capitol Theatre management that he decided to return to his former position. ■ "1 very much regret leaving Auckland, Mr. Henkel said yesterday, "and I Jo so for no oiher reason than that my services seem to be urgently required in Sydney. Mr. Fred Scholl, who has been organist at the Civic Theatre since its opening, i? also returning to Sydney with Mr, Henke. Mr. Howard Moody will now act as musical director at the Civic.
