END OF LONDON SEASON. FUNCTION ESCAPES RAIN. (Received July 25, 5.5 p.m.) Britiah Wireless. RUGBY, July 2-1. Tho Royal garden party, which is generally regarded as marking the close of the London social season, was held in the grounds of Buckingham Palace today, when 6000 guests attended. Tho weather has never yet caused a postponment of this popular social function, and to-day, although the skies were overcast, there was no rain.
