HOT WATER BOTTLES.

The water for hot bottles or rubber bags should be used when it has just gone oil the bod.

To fill tho rubber bags, pour in water through a funnel, or very slowly from a kettle" 5 directly into the bag, until twothirds full. Expel the air by compressing tho top half of the bag. Screw on the steoper at, the same time. Hold the bag upside down for a moment to be sure there is no leakage. Ileplaco cover and fasten securely. To fill earthenware bottles, warm bottle and three-quarters fill it with water. Screw 011 tho lop, taking care that tho washer is in good condition and in the right position. Cover securely. Kemernber that serious burns and scalds can bo caused by careless use of hot water bottles or hags, for they aro out of sight and the damage may not be discovered for several hours, by which time it is probably serious. When not io bo refilled the bags should be hung up to drain and dry. When quite dry screw the cap on loosely, leaving a, little air in tho bag to keep the sides separated. Keep in a dry cupboard.
