LINGLISH BOY'S AMBITION
WAITING I-'OR A LICENSE
Six toen-y oars-old Maxwell Williams, who is tho youngest air pilot in Britain, is planning an attempt to fly round tho world. As soon us ho receives liis "A " licence in October, ho will begin preparation.
Williams is stijl at school at Ivottingdean, near Brighton, but bo never loses an opportunity to go to his homo at Weston Hanger, near Lynipno aerodrome, to tly tho Cuii]uo Boils Club's Moth machines.
Tho boy's mother, says that, Maxwell is a very determined boy, Before going back to school ho said, " I shall not bo satisfied until I liavo flown round tho world." She added; "Ho wants to ontf.r commercial aviation. Ho has been interested in flying since ho was threo year, of ago. J lis father was in tho 11. A.F. during tho war. We eamo down hero to live so that' ho could join the Cinque Ports Club.
" Tho total tinio of his instruction has been eleven hours, and his instructor was astonished at the boy's extraordinary air-mindodness. lie paid for tho whole of tho instruction with his own money, and when ho passed his final test everyone marvelled at tho way ho handled tho machine. Maxwell's bedroom shows his enthusiasm for aviation. On a largo map he has marked out tho air routes from London to Ili6 principal cities and towns in Europe and to tho Near East and Africa.
