"LOITERING ROUND HOTELS."

IDLE AND DISORDERLY CHARGES

A charge of being idle and disorderly and having insufficient means of support was preferred against Francis Gibson, millwright, aged 33, in the Police Court yesterday morning.

"He has been under observation for some time," said Constable, Moore. "He spends much of his time loitering around hotels, and when arrested he was in the company of convicted thieves and was carrying a bottle of methylated spirits." Gibson protested that the bottle he was carrying contained only beer. "lie needs to get the spirits out of his system." said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S-M., in remanding accused for a week. "We really brought her here to get her away from tho undesirables she was living with," said Chief-Detective Hammond, when Ivy Windsor, domestic, aged 30, appeared on remand on a charge of being idle and disorderly. Mr. Hammond said she now had the chance of employment, and seemed likely to make good. She was convicted and ordered to como up for sentence if called upon.
