I'UKKKOHK, Friday. A branch of the National Defence League has been formed at Pukckohe. Officers have been elected as follows: President, Major J. A. Sommerville; v i ce " presidents, Major S. 0. Schofield and Mr. S. P. Day; secretary, Mr. J. C. Lytic; executive, Messrs. If. F. Deane, G. T. Cowan, S. J. Wright, If. F. Kissling, G. T. Farvin. W. W. llorwell and It. Schlacpfer; auditor, Mr. Kissling. A resolution was passed at the meeting expressing opposition to the repeal of tho compulsory training clauses of the Defence Act.
