BOXING.
AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. ENTRIES FOR TOURNAMENT. Large entries have been received for Ihe Auckland amateur boxing championship*, which will bo hold under the control of the Northern Boxing Association. The eliminating bouts will bo staged at the Town Hall tomorrow evening, and will be followed by the finals on Monday. Many well-known Auckland amateurs, including most ol the champions, are competing, aa well as a number of young boxer 3 from further afield. As a class the feather-weights will be Ihe strongest and should provide some close contests. The light-heavy-weight bouts should also prove interesting.
