WANGANUI VERSUS KING'S.
ANNUAL FIXTURE TO-DAY. The annual Rugby match between Wanganui Collegiate School and King's Collego will be playt-ci at Manger© nt ti.oO this afternoon. Although there has usually been a clear-cut margin of points between tho teams, the encounters have always produced bright, open football, and to-day's yame should not prove any exception. Old boys of both colleges are extended an invitation by the headmaster of lung's College to bo present. Tho match will be played under international Tules. Following pre tho results of previous matches played botween tho two schools, .Wanganui having won six and King's two:— IH2O. —King's won, J7—!>. lfKXJ.—Wangunui won, 16—0. 3925.—Wanganui won, 19—C. 1026.—Wanganui won, 17—3. 19-27.—Wanganui won. IG—l4. 1929.—King's won, 15—3. Tho visiting team will return to Wangaaui by train this evening. Tho teams for to-day's match will bo as follows ■ - Wanganui.—Fullback, Bunny; throequar■ters. Kemp. WIN FOR SACKED HEART.
CLOSE GAME WITH TAKAPUNA.
After a game full of incident, in which the final issue was in doubt until tho last whistle Sacred Heart Collego defeated Taknpuna Grammar yesterday by 10 points to 6. Tho first points of the gamo tamo at the end of the first quarter when Eado secured in tho Sacred Heart twentyfive. With a swerving run he beat the defence, to score a nice try. The kick failed. At half-time the score was still S—o in favour of Taknpuna.
A spirited rally by tho Sacred Heart forwards carried play to tho Takapuna twentyfive. From a scrum the halfback gained several yards before ho sent Elliot across ou tho blind sido. Casey converted. Tho oiid of tho third quarter saw a fino effort mado by Eade, the speedy Takapuna winger. ]lo gained possession in his own twentyfive, and by a serious of judicious short punts got within attacking distance. He secured to break through and scoro a good try which was not converted. With only r few minutes to play Kavanagh led a spirited Sacred Heart forward attack which resulted in O'Brien scoring well out. Casey converted. Tho gamo ended shortly afterwards with the score:—Sacred Hoart, 10; Takapuna, G.

The Whangarei Rn<rby Union met this evening. The judicial committee of tho union reported that 'it had considered tho ordering off of two players and had unanimously decided that Wallace, a Mauneakarainea player, who had previously this Beason been warned and also on another occasion this season been ordered off. should be suspended from playing for the remainder of this season and the whole of next season.
No further action was taken against the ether player.
