SOCIETY'S GOOD YEAR.
GROUNDS NOW FREE OF DEBT.

The annual meeting of tho North Kaipara Agricultural Society was held at tho week-end, Mr. E. R. Jenkins presiding. Tho report showed a sound financial position. A successful bazaar had been held and, with tho co-operation of members and helpers, £72 had been raised. By adding tho profit from tho show, the committeo was enabled to pay off tho £IOO mortgage on the grounds, which were now free of debt.
In regard to tho calf club scheme, keen interest had been taken by the Maroheino, Matakohe and Paparoa schools, and there had been a fine exhibit of calves by the girls and boys. The balance-sheet showed an excess of assets over li;i bilities of £6OB, including the value of tho show grounds, £-100, and buildings and fittings, £155. The cash in the savings bank was £52. Subscriptions totalled £42, donations £47 and entry fees £66. The prize money paid out was £l4O.
