FATAL EXPLOSIONS.
SAN FRANCISCO WATERWORKS TWELVE MEN FOUND DEAD. SAN FRANCISCO, July 18. Twelve workmen were killed in the second serious accident this month on the new waterworks at San Francisco. Seven men perished earlier in the month, and to-day the entire shift on one tunnel was found dead, after an explosion of gas. GELIGNITE ON LORRY. TWO MEN LOSE LIVES. • » BRISBANE, July 19. Two men. Antonion Simonclli and Edward Smith, were killed when a lorry on which they were riding, on which were cases of gelignite, was blown to pieces at Mount, Isa. It is not known what caused the gelignite to explode.
