HUGE CARGO CARRIERS. NAVAL ARCHITECT'S VIEWS. LONDON, July IS. Sir John Biles, vice-president of the Institution of Naval Architects, addressed a conference of that body at Liverpool. Ho said tho most economical merchant ship of tho future would he one drawing 60ft. of water and capablo of carrying 70,000 or 80,000 tons of cargo instead of 20,000 as at present. This development would greatly affect tho depth of docks.
