SAN FRANCISCO. July 15

A small biplane in which WingCommander Kingsford Smith and his navigator, Mr. P. Saul, were flying to San Francisco from Santa Maria, was forced down into a field from a height of 3700 feet owing to a broken magneto shaft. Tho airmen landed safely and woe not injured.
