BRIDGE EVENING. The bridge circle of the Lyceum Club, Hamilton, held a successful and pleasant evenyig in the circle's room on Tuesday. Tho prize-winner was Miss Nutsford, with highest score. Among thoso present were:—Mrs Speedy (convener), Mrs. F. Bullock, Mrs. W. Hulse, Mrs. Bevin, Mrs. Coventry, Miss do Renzv, Mrs. Hooker, Miss Bourke, Mrs. Ilodgkinson, Mrs. W. D. Ross, Miss Wallnutt, Mrs. W. J. Stevens, Mrs. 11. A. Johnston, Mrs. 11. Luxford, Miss 51. Ross, Miss D. Johnson, Mrs. Kingston, Mrs. Gibbs, Mrs. A. W. Green, Mrs. E. G. Johnson, Mrs. Honeyfield, Miss Nutsford, Mrs. Verrall, Mrs. G. Browne, Miss Norrish, Miss 0. Rowe, Mrs. Jcnkinson. Dramatic Club. The St. George's Dramatic Club gave a reading in St. George's Hall, Somerset Street, Frankton, on Tuesday evening, the proceeds of the entertainment to bo divided between tho sports and business queens of the carnival. Three one-act plays wero chosen. In the first, "Five Birds in a Cage," by Gertrude Jennings, tho parts were read by Miss J. Templar, Miss J. GilfiUan, Mr. Graham Absolum, Mr. A. Teir„olar and Mr. A. Buckland. In the second, "Op o' Me Thumb," Mrs. J. Fronton, Miss C. Beeche, Miss D. Foster, Miss M. Shaw, Miss M. Anchor and Mr. F. Brewer took part. In the last, "The Bathroom Door." also by Gertrude Jennings, those taking part were:— Miss C. Buckland, Mr. R. CSough, Mr. G. Anchor, Miss I. McKinnon, Miss E. Clough and Mr. J. McKinnon. Songs wero sung between tho plays by Mrs. A. Sims and Mr. J. Fricker.
