FIRST CONFERENCE HELD.
The first conference between the Auckland branch, the Auckland group and tho recently-formed League of Women Helpers of Toe H was held in tlie parish hall of Holy Sepulchre Church on Tuesday evening. One of the main objects of the gathering was to promote ■ closer contact between the three bodies of Toe II in Auckland. Animated discussion centred around three papers read by members of , tho Auckland branch, the senior Toe II body in Auckland, dealing with the spiritual side of Toe 11, the "Jobmastery," or social work, and the extension of Toe H in New Zealand, and particularly in the Auckland Province. Constructive suggestions were given by many speakers, who included Mrs. Basil C'adour, jobmaster of tho League of "Women Helpers; Messrs. 11. Dyer, R. Jj. Sangster, P. Miller, F. Graham. W. N. .Tebson, and Padre H. K. MeFarlarid, of the branch: and General Sir George Richardson, Messrs. W. Dove and J. Stewart, of the group. Tho meeting is expected to be the first of many to promote the progress of Toe II in Auckland Province. Prior to the conference tho 100 Jri. n service with the Lamp of Remembrance, was held in Holy Sepulchre Church, 'lie padres in attendance being the Revs. C. B. W. Setnn, of Otahuhu; J. E. Draper, of Holy Sepulchre Church: K. McFarland, of St. George's. Kiugsland; 11. 'K. Vickery, of the Seamen's Mission; and G. E. Morton, of tho City Mission.
