MUSIC EXAMINATIONS.
4 LONDON ASSOCIATED BOARD. GOOD ENTRIES IN AUCKLAND. Exceptionally good entries have been received this year for the piactieal examinations in music conducted by the Associated Board of the Iloyal Academy of Music and the Royal, Coile.ge of Music, London. In the Auckland district, 384 entries in all sections have been received by the secretary, Mr. L. W. Swan, compared 303 last year. In the primary section, 93 entries have been received, in the elementary 83, in the lower and higher grouped 110, in the intermediate and advanced 58, and seven in the final section. Twenty-eight entries have been received for tho licentiate (L.A.8.) examination. The examination, which will be conducted by Dr. R. O. Beechcroft, M.A., of London, will be held in the Pitt Street Methodist Church on July 21. Examinations will-also be held at Pukekohe and Te Aroha, and possibly at Ifelensville.
