WEDDING. HALLETT—VICKERY The marriage was celebrated a,t St. Peter's Church, Hamilton, on Wednesday afternoon of Miss Ruby Rose Vickery, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vickery, of London Street, to Mr. Henry Nathan Constantino Hallelt, of Hamilton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. J. D. Hallett, of Whangarei. Tho bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of ivory taffeta and net, the close-fitting taffeta bodice being attached to a bouffant skirt comprised of tiny frills of taffeta and net. She wore a veil of Iloniton lace and carried a bouquet of roses and snowdrops. Ihe bridesmaids were Miss Bessie Vickery. sister of the bride, and Miss Margaret Auld, of Auckland, and little Barbara Pountney was (lower girl. Tlfc-y all wore frocks of cameo pink net with close-fitting bodices and full ankle-length skirts hand-em-broidered in tulips. Their hats of soft drooping felt were of the same shade as their frocks and- were appliqucd m pastcl-sliadcd flowers unci stitched in silver. They carried bouquets of Iceland poppies, roses and maidenhair fern. Mi. D'Aicy Smith, of Hamilton, was best man and Mr. Gordon Lucas, of Whakatanc, was groomsman. The Reception.
After Hie ceremony a reception was held bv the bride's parents in the Wattle Tea liooms. Mrs. Vickery received her guests in an ensemble of fawn velvet trimmed with a lighter shade of fox fur. She wore a close-fitting petunia felu hat and carried a posy of petunia-shaded ilowcrs. The guests included: —Mr. and Mrs. J. Hallett (Whangarei), Mr. A. Brown (Duncdin), Mrs. W. Mrs. Oswald Smith left on Saturday for a trip to England. Mrs. Reid, of Duncdin, is the guest of Mrs. Gordon Reid.
Miss M. Ross, of Feilding, is staying with Mrs. M. E. Coventry, of Matangi.
