COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY. INVESTIGATION BEING MADE. [by telegraph.—press association:] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. 1 A special committee, consisting of Mr E. Page, S.M.; Mr. J. A. McGrath, formerly superintendent of police in Dunedin; and Dr. T. G. Gray, DirectorGeneral of Mental Hospitals, is now inquiring info tho dismissal by the former Commissioner of Police, Mr. W. B. McUveney, of Senior-Sergeant Boriish, of tho Tarannki Street police station, , who recently pleaded guilty to breaches of tho police regulations.
