Tho need to relievo ratepayers of the burden of rates prompted the Inglewood County Council to-day to reduco its permanent staff, from 27 to 12. The engineer submitted a, report, recommending the complete reorganisation of tho and a drastic reduction in plant. Fifteen men are to bo given a week's notice but are to bo employed as "casuals" as much as possible.
