INTOXICATED MOTORIST.
CASE AT ONEHUNGA. FINE OF £2O IMPOSED. For being intoxicated while in chargo of a motor-car John Edward King (Mr. Fennell) was fined £2O, and £1 6s 6d costs, in tho Onehunga Polico Court yesterday morning. He pleaded guilty. Messrs. W. N. Mcintosh nnd J. .E. Green, J.P's., were on tho Bench. Sergeant I). J. O'Neill said King drovo his motor-car in an extremely dangerous manner from Queen Street into Arthur Street East at about 5.30 p.m. on Monday, nearly running into Constable A. E. Hinton.
As King recently purchased a business which requires the use of a motor-car, tho justices acceded to a request not to cancel his driving licence.
