MOUNT ALBERT FINANCES.
REDUCED LOAN EXPENDITURE Tho Mount Albert Borough Council decided lasf, evening to limit the loan expenditure for tho year to £75,000. Tho Mayor, Mr. L. E. Rhodes, said that this was a reduction of '£35,000 on the previous year. Tho most expansive sewer and permanent construction work in the borough, had been dqino, and it was desired to keep the rates within bounds. Tho Mount Albert Wolfaro Society was granted permission to plant native trees on Mount Albert and creepers on tho hare parts of tho crater under tho supervision of tho engineer. The building inspector reported that '2A permits, involving £7552, had been issued during tho past thrco "weeks.
