CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland. —There was a continuation of fine weather yesterday, hut the light breeze had changed to tho west. Ilia barometer was practically steady at 30.25 in.
Wellington—Another day of bright sunshine was experienced yesterday. Tha wind was a fairly light northerly. Tho temperature was slightly above that of the preceding days Christehuroh.—-The weather yesterday was fine, but the morning was foggy after l2deg. frost. There was a little sunshino in the afternoon and there was a light breeze from the north-east, lhe maximum temperature was 54deg. 18 barometer was falling aid the reading m the evening was 29.95 m. Tho mght was mild and foggy.
Dunediu. —The wcatlicr was fine i Dunedin yesterday morning, with a pleasant north-east breeze. Late in tho afternoon the wind became strong tio.n the south-west and brought rain. lh:» barometer fell quickly during the day, the latest reading being 29.65iiu
