FATE OF A LETTER. Very mysterious—to say the least—are the ways of the British Post Office. Not only on occasions does it not deliver where it should, hut it delivers where it should not, says the Daily Telegraph. Recently a postman . carried in his bag a letter addressed to - .His Roynl Highness, The I)uk<> of York. .London, Eitsluud.

As every schoolboy in London .should know, tho Duke resides at 145, Piccadilly. However, the letter, which was posted in New Zealand, was delivered at. a publichouse called the " Duke of York," in Cavendish Street, \V\

Mr. H. 0. Clover, tho licensee, opened the letter, and, realising tho error, at oneo had it. taken along to tho Duke. It proved to be a personal communication.
