STOWAWAY ON AORANGI.
FINE OF £7 IMPOSED. A stowaway who gave himself up on the steamer Aorangi, which reached Auckland from Sydney yesterday morning, Athol Max: Darling, aged 27, was later charged in the Police Cour; with secreting himself 011 the vessel at Sydney on Juno 26. He admitted the offence. Sub-Inspector Shanahan said accused surrendered himself when the ship was 0110 day out at sea. He came from Tasmania and was said to be a surveyor. A fine ot £7 -vas imposed by Mr. F. K.Ilunt, S.M., who fixed default at 14 days' imprisonment-.
