WELLING TON, Monday,
There will ho no sitting of tho House of Representatives to-morrow evening on account of tho death of Sir Maui Pomare. This arrangement has been made by the Prino Minister, Hon. G. W. Forbes, who stated to-day that after the Houso had conducted formal business to-morrow afternoon and reference had been made to tho death of Sir Maui Pomare, it would adjourn out «>f respect to his memory until ■Wednesday.
This means that tho Addross-in-Reply will not bo moved until Wednesday evening. The mover will bo Mr. C. 11. Clinkard, United member for Rotorua, and the seconder will bo Mr. R. W. Hawke, United member for Kaiypoi. In accordance with custom tho Ilonso will adjourn until tho following day after the mover and seconder have spoken. The Prime Minister is expected to make a statement shortly as to tho Government's intentions regarding tho arrangement, of the work of tho session, as ho desires to leave at. tho end of August for tho Imperial Conference, which opens in London on September 30.
