In the second round of the men's doubles championship at Wimbledon yesterday, Crawford und Moon (Australia) beat de Morpurgo and Gasilini (Italy) in five seta. Hopman and Williard (Australia) also y/on. All the Australians won their matches in jthe second' round of the mixed doubles. In the fourth round of the men's singles to-day Borotra (France) beat de Kehrling Germany), 6—2, 6—2, 2r—6, 6—l; Lott (America) beat Spence (South Africa), 6—l, 6—3, 10—8; Tilden (America) defeated Andrews (New Zealand), 6—4, 6—4, 6—2; Gregory (England) beat Periy (England), 3—6, 9—7, 6—l, 6, 6—l. In the doubles Brugnon and Cochet '(France) beat Prenn and - Kleinschroth [(Germany), 9—7, 7—5, 6—l. The most notable to-day was Gregory's win over England's new young hope, Perry, who had beaten de Morpurgo. is the only British player left in the singles championship. Queen Mary visited Wimbledon and (watched Andrews' spirited struggle pgainst Tilden, who was hitting with jterrific force. Nevertheless Andrews played his usual fine tennis.
