SUPPLY FOR PROVINCE.
CONFERENCE WITH BOARDS.
An invitation to send a representative to the conference in Wellington next Monday of Auckland district power boards which have been receiving Government supplies was received by Mr. G. Trevithick, chairman of the Waitemata Electric-Power Board, from the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. W. B. Taver-. ner, last evening. The conference is for i the purpose of explaining tlio department's proposals for future supp]ies. Mr. Trevithick, Mr. A. Main, secretary, and Mr. F. J. H. Wilson, engineer, will leave for Wellington to-morrow evening. The other boards which will be reprosented are Franklin, Central (Hamilton}, Waitomo, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Thames Valley and Bay of Plenty (Op.> tiki). The Auckland Electric-Power Board will not be represented, as a private conference between the Minister and Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, chairman, and Mr. R. H. Bartley, general manager, was held in Wellington on Thursday. The members of Parliament for the areas affected—the Rt. Hon. J. €§& Coates, tho Hon. A. J. Murdoch, Mr. A. Harris anil Mr. H. G. R. Mason —have also been invited to attend.
