The two dairy companies operating in the Northern Wairoa district have experienced a good season. The increase of & butter production of both factories was ** easily a record, as was also the total of advances to suppliers of the Ruawai factory. Tha lotal advances to suppliers of the Northern Wairoa Company showed a falling off. The total of the advances by the two companies wa3 £374,108, as against £371,849 for the 1928-29 season. The figures for both factories with last year's figures in parentheses, are:— Ruawai.—May: Butter-fat supplied, 75,7871b. (51,4061b.); rate,. Is per lb.; total. £3796 (£5640).
